3rd District Democratic Congressional nominee Tim Steele has received the
endorsement from the National Education Association.
The Michigan Education Association recommended this endorsement, and the NEA
agreed.
"This is a very significant endorsement of our candidacy," said Steele. "The
endorsement of the NEA and MEA tells me and everyone else in this District
that our vision for the future of public education is crisper than that of
our current federal representative. The fact that Mr. Ehlers, who wants to
be known as the Math-and-Science Guy, didn’t get this endorsement speaks
volumes."
Tim Steele will face incumbent Vern Ehlers for this US House seat on Tuesday,
November 7, 2000.
